Your team:

  • The Pictet Research Institute is a newly established investment research capability within Pictet Group, launched in 2024. The Institute will engage Pictet's economists, macro strategists, analysts and dedicated researchers to provide insights into longterm investment topics from strategic asset allocation to capital market structures, global economic trends, sustainability and beyond.
  • We are looking for a recent PhD Graduate to join and develop the Pictet Investment Research Institute in a two year programme.

Your role:

  • Contributing to research projects of importance to the Pictet Institute.
  • Producing original research in collaboration with internal researchers and investment professionals on a wide variety of research topics with investment implications for our firm.
  • Taking part in research collaborations with academics or other external research experts.
  • Working closely with the Head of the Pictet Institute to formulate the research methodology of the projects and perform the empirical analysis.
  • Generating presentations based on the research output and helping to prepare the communication materials.

Your profile:

  • PhD in Finance, Economics or a related field.
  • Strong background in econometrics, statistics and data analysis.
  • Strong coding skills in Matlab, Python and SQL.
  • Research experience in at least one asset class with a willingness to expand into others, including alternatives.
  • Solid knowledge of portfolio theory, portfolio optimisation techniques and dynamic asset allocation would be a plus.
  • At ease working with other researchers or investment professionals as well as alone, as necessary.
  • Interest in ESG.
  • Excellent command of English.
  • Must be resident in Switzerland or willing to relocate.
