JOB PURPOSE

Aligned with the company's strategy, the Spa Planning & Purchasing Specialist oversees forecasting, procurement, and logistics processes to ensure timely availability of stock in the Spas onboard. This is crucial to meet customer demand and notably enhance onboard revenue.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Analyze sales data and place purchase orders for consumable, retail, and small equipment items following agreed item life cycles.
  • Ensure stock requirements on each ship meet quality and quantity standards, aligned with ship locations and operational areas.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, accounting, and ships to optimize supply chain processes and prevent invoicing issues.
  • Maintain appropriate stock levels based on sell-through rates, projected demand, and consumption, suggesting corrective actions when necessary.
  • Report stock surpluses, slow-moving items, and obsolete products to Spa Purchasing Manager and Head of Spa.
  • Notify ships of upcoming deliveries according to communication protocols.
  • Track deliveries from providers to ships and ensure customs document compliance.
  • Resolve loading incidents and price verification issues with ships and providers.
  • Accurately input article data into the system from suppliers, rectifying any missing or inaccurate information.
  • Coordinate stock transfers, landing manifests, and vendor returns efficiently.
  • Set prices in the system and ensure accurate database administration.

QUALIFICATIONS (skills, competencies, experience)

  • Fluency in English, with Italian proficiency considered a bonus.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business Economics, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field.
  • Proficiency in Excel with familiarity in common Business Intelligence software as a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Customer-oriented mindset.
  • Experience in logistics processes.
  • Attention to detail.

VISA REQUIREMENTS (if any)

EU Passport or Right to work in Switzerland.
