Reporting Specialist / Controller

Tasks

Responsible for financial analysis well as financial planning, budgeting and forecasting as well as financial reporting, tax and VAT filings and reporting, compliance with internal guidelines, monitoring accounting standards (IFRS, Swiss GAAP), reviewing regulatory reporting and statistics (SNB, FINMA) / Responsible for the preparation and review of annual financial statements / Assessment of balance sheet and income statement as well as cash flow calculations regarding accuracy and completeness / Processing and structuring of financial data, identification of trends, identifying opportunities for improvement / Responsible for the further differentiation of financial processes and the portfolio of financial tasks as well as for the adaptation of tools and systems to improve effectivity of the department / Continuous review of the accounting standards and requirements issued by the authorities to ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements / Coordination of internal teams and the external audit for audits and financial controls.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Banking & Finance / A certification such as Expert in Accounting and Controlling, Certified Accountant Controller, CPA, ACCA etc. / Strong banking background in finance at a head office of an international bank or as an external auditor on bank mandates / Knowledge of the internal control system for reporting, statutory accounting regulations (IFRS, GAAP) and cooperation with the authorities (e.g. SNB, FINMA) / Analytical personality with leadership and communication skills / High interest in financial reporting / Highly results- and quality-oriented interest in working under time pressure and with tight deadlines, especially for quarterly and annual financial statements / Strong analytical and problem-solving skills / Affinity for project management methods / Experience in working in an international organization and dealing with colleagues from different cultures / IT affinity, proficient in Excel / German as well as English.
