Specialist in Controlling & Business Intelligence %
Correctional Services and Reintegration (JuWe) is part of the Directorate of Justice and Home Affairs of the Canton of Zurich (JI) and employs around 1,400 people with diverse professional profiles. The JuWe is responsible for the execution of sentences and measures, the implementation of various types of detention and the successful social reintegration of people who have committed crimes.
Are you ready to work with us to develop JuWe into a data-enabled organization? You will help us to build a number-based decision-making basis that contributes to our financial stability, security in prison and success in reintegration.
To strengthen our Controlling, Financial Planning & Reporting department, we are looking for an experienced, technically experienced and independent personality immediately or by appointment.

Your tasks
  • You develop and take over the technical support of business intelligence reports and dashboards and share these with the heads of the main departments and departments
  • You contribute to the continuous development of JuWe by analyzing questions and implementing measures in controlling, data management and reporting
  • You will support the establishment of the new Controlling, Financial Planning & Reporting department
  • You will work in the budget and financial planning process
  • You are responsible for parts of the reporting and key figures
  • You actively network in the canton's data and business intelligence community


Your profile
  • You have completed a degree in business administration/controlling, business informatics or IT engineering/computer science or comparable training
  • You already have experience in the areas of business intelligence and analytics, as well as in the development and further development of data management solutions. Experience in project work rounds off your profile
  • Your analytical skills and your experience in dealing with data sets and using databases (SQL) set you apart
  • Your experience includes very good user knowledge of Excel and SAP
  • You have a basic interest in data science methods and tools such as R or Python
  • You have fluent written and spoken German skills and can communicate very well orally in English
  • You can demonstrate an impeccable reputation (no entries in the criminal register or debt collection register)
