Team Lead Packs & Bags (all genders, 80-100%)

In this role you are responsible for strategic and operative leadership of Packs & Bags.

Packs & Bags includes the product groups of backpacks, sleeping systems and hardware accessories.

Do what you love:

  • Responsible for leading the Packs & Bags team, coordinating work and development processes as well as representing the team and Packs & Bags internally and externally
  • Responsible for assortment strategy, in accordance with revenue and margin targets as well as the Mammut brand strategy
  • Managing product life cycle and planning new developments under consideration of available resources
  • Creating market
- and competition analyses, sales-, revenue
- and margin analyses as well as collecting consumer and customer feedback

  • Briefing development teams for new projects with a strong focus on consumer needs.
  • Overseeing development processes internally and with external partners according to timeline and financial targets / budgets
  • Screening for technological innovation, new production methods and new materials.
  • Presenting products at sales meetings, meetings with key accounts and other events as well as creating slide desks and knowhow tools for marketing or sales purposes
  • Supporting sales and marketing departments at meetings and events
  • Supports souring department in vendor allocation and price negotiations
  • Executing trainings and clinics for sales reps and customers
  • Plus any additional duties and responsibilities that may reasonably be expected to be undertaken in accordance with the role.

  • You bring proven experience in product and project management
  • You have solid presentation and communication skills
  • You have a great passion for outdoor sports, advantageously also comprehensive knowledge of the international sports/outdoor market
  • You have already gained experience in international business and several years of cooperation with internal and external partners
  • You are a team player and have entrepreneurial spirit
  • You are decisive and a true organizational and coordination talent
  • You like analytical, conceptual and strategic thinking
  • You are resultoriented at all times
  • You are fluent in German and English and are comfortable in the IT world (MS-Office)
