Position Overview

The EMEA Pricing Director will lead the newly formed EMEA Center of Excellence (COE) for Pricing in MedTech. Together with their team and in collaboration with their global and local pricing colleagues as well as cross-functional partners, they will be responsible for deploying pricing capabilities and ways of working and for supporting with access to the right data, tools and analytics that will allow markets to drive profitable growth. The COE is part of the regional Strategy & Market Development organization and has a clear mandate to deliver immediate impact. Therefore, we are looking for a candidate that combines strong hands-on expertise in pricing with excellent leadership and influencing skills.

Tasks & Responsibilities

·        Establish the newly formed Pricing COE and hire key talent.

·        Translate global franchise pricing strategies into actionable price guidelines and targets for local execution on market level.

·        Collaborate with Global Pricing Team to ensure pricing strategies are relevant for EMEA.

·        Lead and maintain pricing analytics and reporting on regional pricing performance to unlock opportunities and monitor progress.

·        Drive the implementation of “Win Rooms” and elevate deal analytics to a best-in-class regional standard to facilitate joint deal optimization.

·        Collaborate with local pricing and business teams to shape pricing strategy and increase price return in a sustainable way.

·        In collaboration with JJT, implement a digital pricing tool and champion its usage to drive efficiencies and maximize price realization.

·        Identify pricing best practices capabilities across the markets, run training sessions and create a forum for synthesizing and sharing them across markets.

Qualifications

·        Minimum bachelor’s degree in finance/statistics, MBA or Ph.D./M.S. in econometrics, statistics or related field from a top tier school preferred.

·        Minimum 10 years of experience in pricing and related commercial roles.

·        Strong commercial acumen and experience in deal negotiation and analysis.

·        Analytical mindset and ability to use Excel and PowerBI to generate insights from large amounts of data.

·        Experience with the deployment and usage of CPQ software across geographies and business units.

·        Exceptional communication skills and proven ability to influence on all levels of the organization.

·        Track record of identifying and developing talent, building and leading a high-performing team.

·        Curiosity, growth mindset, and out-of-the box thinking.
