Summary:
The Director of Insights in Insmed EMEA will be responsible for the planning and execution of the EMEA commercial insights program in support of our respiratory franchise portfolio. This will evolve over time to include other therapy areas as the focus of the company grows.
In addition to the generation and capture of Insights, the post-holder will be responsible for ensuring these have a meaningful impact within the organization: this specifically refers to the need to carefully curate and clearly communicate the market, customer and brand insights amongst key internal stakeholders as they emerge and ensure they inform the relevant commercial decisions when necessary.
The Director of Insights will report to the Senior Director, Commercial Effectiveness based in Zug, Switzerland and will be a key and prominent member of the Commercial Effectiveness team and wider Commercial Operations function in EMEA.
**Responsibilities**:
Additional representative responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:
- Design, plan and budget for the Insmed EMEA respiratory portfolio insights plan, including all regional primary and secondary market research, as well as other 3rd party data;
- Support the broader ongoing insights needs of the marketing and commercial function within Insmed EMEA
- Align with and contribute to the global Commercial Excellence function workstreams, ensuring EMEA outputs are transferable to and compatible with global needs
- Support the strategic brand planning process by leading the creation and/or update of the situation analysis
- Support the quantification of business opportunities for Insmed through the annual strategic planning (long term forecasting) process, by providing up to date insights to support model assumptions (collaborating with Director of Forecasting & Analytics)
- Adopt overall an empowered leadership approach, clearly owning and driving projects, workstreams and initiatives that are required
- Follow meticulously all necessary compliance advice, guidelines and SOPs to ensure all Insmed business is conducted in the safest possible way and to the highest possible standards
- Contribute to a positive & encouraging team environment, where colleagues are supported to excel in their delivery and grow professionally
- Generate additional ideas and opportunities not proscribed by leadership that support brand/opportunity growth

Qualifications:
- At least 10 years’ experience of initiating and managing market research projects, including extensive experience with vendor selection and management - in the pharma and/or biotech industries.
- Good knowledge of the most recent innovations in pharma MR and how they might benefit Insmed would be an asset;
- Educated to a minimum of Bachelors degree level; graduate degree preferred.
- Some experience of the smaller, growing Biotech environment is preferred - the flexibility and adaptability required in this environment will be crucial to success
Travel Requirements:
Applicants should be prepared to travel up to 20% of their time in any given year. This will be determined by the specific needs of individual market research field work projects, congresses & industry meetings, international internal meetings.
