Job Description

Our Animal Health Marketing team takes a customer centric perspective using customer feedback and market intelligence data. Using this data, we design, develop and deploy products, platforms, brands and marketing initiatives that ensure we can improve the health and well-being of animals everywhere.

The Marketing Manager Livestock (m/f/d) will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to drive sales and optimize market availability and communication for the complete Livestock (ruminant, swine, and poultry) portfolio of our company's Animal Health Switzerland. Reporting directly to the Livestock Business Unit Director in Switzerland, the Marketing Manager (m/f/d)  will play a pivotal role in localizing global commercial strategies and translating them into the country brand strategy. This position will also require collaboration with the Marketing Operations team to build a comprehensive Customer Omnichannel Engagement plan. The Marketing Manager Livestock (m/f/d) will be responsible for understanding market dynamics and customer insights, developing successful marketing tactics, forecasting sales, representing our company at conferences and promotional events, and managing allocated resources and product budgets. Fluency in German and English is required, and French proficiency is preferred.

The Marketing Manager Livestock (m/f/d)  is empowered to

  • Develop and communicate brand strategies for the portfolio, ensuring alignment with overall company goals

  • Train the field force on the strategy and materials

  • Uncover insights to deliver an effective go-to-market strategy and design marketing ideas that add value to customers

  • Implement effective marketing tactics to drive product sales and market penetration

  • Ensure a cohesive approach to the development, marketing, and sale of new and existing animal health products and services

  • Localize global and regional commercial strategies and translate them into Country Brand Strategy

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Operations team to create a comprehensive Customer Omnichannel Engagement plan, leveraging digital channels and targeted messaging

  • Analyze market dynamics and customer insights to forecast sales and effectively manage key opinion leaders (KOLs)

  • Lead cross-functional teams to successfully launch new products and manage projects to meet business objectives

  • Manage and allocate resources and budgets to ensure efficient and effective implementation of marketing initiatives

  • Support setting the pricing strategy (including rebate strategy) for the Business Unit portfolio

  • Spend time in the field with customers, to build relationships, gain insights and support the team

Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably a degree in Marketing, MBA, Business, Veterinary Medicine or Animal Science

  • Preferably 5 years' work experience in marketing and/or animal health industry

  • Ability to obtain, analyze and interpret market intelligence and research data to derive conclusions and recommend creative solutions is essential

  • Fluent in German and English, with additional fluency in French preferred

  • Good time management, project management and organizational skills

  • Creative thinking, out-of-the-box mindset

  • Strong presentation and communication skills

  • Class B (car) driving license

Der Marketing Manager / die Marketing Managerin berichtet direkt an die Geschäftseinheitsleiterin Nutztiere in der Schweiz und spielt eine entscheidende Rolle bei der Lokalisierung globaler Vertriebsstrategien und deren Übertragung in die schweizspezifische Strategie. Diese Position erfordert auch die Zusammenarbeit mit dem Marketing-Operations-Team, um einen umfassenden Customer Omnichannel Engagement Plan zu erstellen. Der Marketing Manager / die Marketing Managerin  Nutztiere ist dafür zuständig, Marktbedingungen und Kundenbedürfnisse zu verstehen, erfolgreiche Marketingtaktiken zu entwickeln, Umsatzprognosen zu erstellen, unser Unternehmen auf Konferenzen und Werbeveranstaltungen zu vertreten sowie Ressourcen und Produktbudgets zu verwalten. Die Aufgaben des Marketing Managers / der Marketing Managerin (m/f/d) für Nutztiere umfassen:

  • Entwicklung und Kommunikation von Markenstrategien für das Portfolio, um sicherzustellen, dass sie mit den Gesamtzielen des Unternehmens übereinstimmen

  • Schulung des Vertriebsteams zur Strategie und den Materialien

  • Erhebung von Erkenntnissen, um eine effektive Vermarktungsstrategie zu entwickeln und Marketingideen zu entwerfen, die Kunden einen Mehrwert bieten

  • Umsetzung effektiver Marketingtaktiken zur Steigerung des Produktumsatzes und der Marktdurchdringung

  • Sicherstellung eines kohärenten Ansatzes bei der Entwicklung, Vermarktung und dem Verkauf neuer und bestehender Tiergesundheitsprodukte und -dienstleistungen

  • Lokalisierung globaler und regionaler Vertriebsstrategien und deren Übertragung in die schweizspezifische Strategie

  • Fließende Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse, zusätzliche Französischkenntnisse von Vorteil

  • Gute Zeit- und Projektmanagementfähigkeiten sowie Organisationsfähigkeiten

  • Kreatives Denken und innovative Ideen
