As a Head of Sales for Nestlé Purina Switzerland , you will report to the Country Manager of Purina Switzerland and manage the overall sales operations in the Swiss market by adapting, orchestrating, and executing the commercial strategy provided by Nestlé Purina Petcare Europe. You will be the leader of a team of 7 sales professionals.
A Day in the Life of a Head of Sales
Execute Sales plans in the Swiss market based on guidance from Nestlé Purina PetCare Europe.
Collaborate closely with the local Market Development Organization and marketing organizations to implement strategies consistently.
Streamline operational sales processes and be a key contributor to the overall monthly business planning cycle.
Provide input for the development of Channel and Customer strategies.
Align negotiation strategies and customer priorities with Nestlé in the Market, working closely with the Nestle Corporate Head of Sales to whom you will have a dotted reporting line.
Be responsible for running the negotiations for the Purina business with multiple customers across several sales channels.
Ensure achievement of sales targets and challenge the sales organization for effectiveness and superior results.
As a member of the leadership team of Purina Switzerland, you will contribute to all cross-functional discussions and topics for the business unit and help shape the roadmap for the entire business both short term and mid-term.
As the leader of a sizeable team, you will be expected to coach, mentor, develop, accompany your people, and build robust succession plans for the future.
You will focus on career development, succession planning, and capability building for sales team.
What will make you successful
8-10 years of experience, and solid understanding of business operations.
Extensive background in Sales, experience in other Generating Demand areas is a plus.
Proven track record of successfully delivering on KPIs, particularly in driving top and bottom line business results.
A track record of leadership capabilities, and very strong interpersonal skills.
You are a native German speaker, or fully fluent in German.
