Tasks
Key responsibilities:
Close collaboration with ETH Zurich IT team: Manage our access to their infrastructure and services. IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee and optimize the institute's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and cybersecurity systems. Software Management: Select, procure, deploy, and maintain software essential for research. Cloud Infrastructure Expertise: Leverage cloud-based solutions to enhance efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. IT Procurement: Conduct thorough research and procure IT hardware, software, and cloud services. IT Support: Provide technical support to researchers, addressing BIIE-specific IT-related inquiries and issues promptly.Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience in IT infrastructure management and support. Strong knowledge of hardware, software, networking, and cybersecurity concepts. Proficiency in cloud computing platforms, especially Azure. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders in English.The Botnar Institute of Immune Engineering (BIIE) is a newly founded non-profit research organization aiming to become a world leading research institute for the advanced study of immunological systems with a mission to develop translational solutions for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease.
