As a business data analyst, you act as an important interface between the BI/controlling team and the business operations department (internal sales, customer fulfillment, invoicing, supply chain, master data management). Your tasks include maintaining existing databases, reports and dashboards. Another focus is on developing new analyses based on business requirements. You convert requests from the business into meaningful reports and dashboards in order to increase transparency and uncover potential for improvement.

In your own script as a business data analyst, you concentrate on the operational business analyses and the underlying data. You support the BI/Controlling team in data preparation and analysis (sales forecasts, order backlog, lead times, ad hoc reports) and work closely with the business.

Who we are looking for

As a motivated personality, you combine your high analytical skills with a "hands-on" mentality and have a confident demeanor. You skilfully combine assertiveness with diplomatic skills and communication tailored to the target group. You quickly recognize connections and, thanks to your sense of what is feasible and your expertise, you show targeted solutions.

Qualifications & Competencies
  • University degree (Bachelor/Master) in business informatics or data science or comparable qualified training
  • Several years of professional experience in a comparable position
  • Knowledge of setting up and maintaining databases (SQL, Access) and dashboards (PowerBI, etc.) is a must
  • Good knowledge of Excel and the Microsoft environment is desirable, experience in the Oracle environment (R12, OAS, DV) or with Salesforce.com is a plus
  • Entrepreneurial and solution-oriented way of thinking and acting
  • Independent working style and active thinking
  • Structured personality with strong analytical working methods and communication skills
  • Knowledge of process design and process KPIs in sales support teams is a plus
  • Excellent knowledge of German and English (spoken and written), French is an advantage
