Change Manager (Hybrid, m/f/x/d)

About the Role
The Change Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing change requests in relation to the financial close lifecycle. The successful candidate will ensure that all change requests are recorded, prioritized, and governed effectively to support the organization's objectives. They will be responsible for managing stakeholder relationships and maintaining strong communication channels with both stakeholders and senior management. 
 
Key responsibilities include:
•    Overseeing and managing change requests to ensure they are recorded, prioritized, and governed effectively in support of the organization's objectives. 
•    Facilitating smooth implementation of end-to-end financial reporting process related changes, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. 
•    Managing stakeholder relationships and maintaining strong communication channels with both stakeholders and senior management. 
•    Overseeing and managing the change request process to maintain control and transparency. 
•    Developing and executing change management strategies to facilitate effective adoption of processes, which cover the end-to-end financial reporting process and system landscape. 
•    Monitoring and evaluating the impact of change initiatives, adjusting as necessary to achieve desired outcomes. 
•    Collaborating very closely with Finance IT and business stakeholders to align priorities in line with the organization's goals and strategies. 
•    Prioritize tasks against other requirements and define due dates to ensure timely completion.
•    Record change requests to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
•    Manage and lead change request governance meetings to ensure all stakeholders are informed and involved in the change process.
•    Provide regular status reporting.
•    Drive operational excellence in quarterly closing process through continuous process improvement.
•    Provide direction to teams, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. 
•    Engage in wider projects and initiatives when required. 
 

About the Team
Global Finance Operations & Transformation (GFO&T) is the unit responsible for the accounting and reporting of accurate and consistent financial information Globally for Swiss Re for external reporting and internal analysis facilitating strategic decision-making. This includes IFRS for Group as well as statutory financial information for all Swiss Re's legal entities, including SST and Solvency II. GFO&T spearheads the transformation of Group Finance, streamlining it towards a simpler, more effective forward-looking organisation. 

 

About You
As a focused team player with effective communication skills, you can guide the wider teams smoothly through the change management process ensuring continued improvement.
 
Key requirements include: 
•    Minimum 3 years of relevant working in Finance, Accounting and Reporting activities preferably within a (Re)insurance environment
•    Proven experience in change management and project management.
•    Strong understanding of change management principles and methodologies.
•    Experience with Azure DevOps or similar project management tools.
•    Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
•    Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
•    Ability to run effective governance meetings and drive decision-making.
•    Good understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
•    Ability to drive initiatives and contribute to strategic projects effectively.
•    Excellent problem-solving abilities and proactive issue resolution 
•    Strong analytical and conceptual thinking
•    Ability to work under pressure.
•    Excellent command of English (spoken and written)
