In order to help us ideate, test, and implement ideas, we are looking for a technical lead for our AI and Automation team.

What you can expect:

Identify practical applications of AI/ML technologiesLead AI/ML solution development, from rapid prototypes to robust, production-ready systemsParticipate in architecture discussions with other technical leadsLead a team of developers, both locally and remotely.Set technical standards for the AI and Automation teamIdentify, implement and evangelize best practices for AI technologies, including frameworks, libraries, and approachesDesign, build, maintain, and operate data scraping and transformation pipelinesEnsure the overall quality of the solutions developed and operated by the teamUnderstand the current strengths and opportunities for Software Engineers (SWEs) within the team, and provide corresponding mentorship to ensure their growth

We are looking for:

Minimum 6 years professional experienceWorking knowledge of software engineering principles, and experience as a full-stack developerBachelors or (ideally) Masters degree from a respected technical universityWorking fluency in Python and at least one of the following languages: Java, Typescript, C++, RFamiliarity with AI frameworks and concepts, and a passion for working with AIA desire to contribute to the future of journalismGerman language skills are a plus
