The main purpose of this role is to manage annual congress strategy and seek opportunities to expand Edwards's presence.

You will make an impact by:

  • Developing and managing the annual congress strategy; identifying global and regional business initiatives and how to effectively impact through congress strategies; includes marketing, brand, sales, product and new business development initiatives. Identifying new congress opportunities

  • Developing congress objectives and strategies to ensure business goals are met at each congress; brand awareness, product messaging, education, networking, market research

  • Initiating process development and improvements; identifying new vendor opportunities; developing relationships to maximize Edwards benefits in execution

  • Negotiating higher volume and complex contracts

  • Creating successful congress promotional sponsorship strategies and communication plans to maximize Edwards brand presence and exposure to the customer

  • Lead cross functional teams to successful results

  • Leading annual fiscal planning; annual budget preparation, forecasting, analysis, reporting; drive strategies to forecast

  • Other incidental duties

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of experience in a related field - sales, marketing, or healthcare industry required

  • Fluent English

  • Proven successful project management skills

  • Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent documentation and communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives

  • Recognized as an expert in own area with specialized depth within the organization

  • Expert understanding of related aspects of marketing concepts and principles

  • Expert knowledge and understanding of policies, procedures, and guidelines relevant to strategic event planning

  • Expert knowledge and understanding expertise in event management strategies: speaker management, content development, attendee/invite strategies

  • Strict attention to detail

  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment

  • Consult in project setting within specific marketing area
