About the role

We are looking for a Senior Sales Manager for the Crypto Finance Group, in charge of growing the sales pipeline for both institutional and professional client relationships. In the role, you will take the lead in executing the sales strategy with the responsibility for leading other sales team members.

The team you will join is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, prospect conversion, and the growth and servicing of institutional and professional client relationships. Target clients are primarily banks and asset managers interested in establishing and growing their own digital asset offerings. Our services offered include digital asset trading, custody, staking, and tokenisation.

This role is focused specifically on identifying qualified leads for institutional and professional client relationships to enhance Crypto Finance’s market position. Once leads are identified, the Senior Sales Manager collaborates internally and with prospects to establish a viable commercial proposition, laying the groundwork for a successful client onboarding.

Key responsibilities

  • Team lead responsibility for sales
  • Manage and lead the sales pipeline for digital asset services with a focus on custody, trading, staking, and tokenisation
  • Activate and leverage your existing network with banks in Switzerland and/or the European Union
  • Take responsibility to source and foster new qualified leads (institutional and professional clients) and establish strong prospect business cases
  • Further develop presence in the Swiss market by attending conferences, understanding the regulatory developments, and building a strong institutional and professional prospect network
  • Employ a systematic sales process with CRM-guided pipeline and prospect management
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to convert leads into prospects, prioritise efforts to anticipate and ensure appropriate responses to prospect needs
  • Further develop service offering by providing prospect feedback and market intelligence
  • Collaborate with account management on the existing client base, including cross-selling of services, marketing, and event activities
  • Further develop and implement business and sales strategies
  • Develop new sales channels, platforms, and partnerships
  • 5-10 year institutional sales track record in a bank, custodian, financial data company, or similar
  • Extensive and proven client network in financial institutions, e.g., banks, custodians, and asset management firms in Switzerland and/or Europe
  • Experienced in all aspects of relationship building for the institutional client segment
  • Affinity for networking and building new commercial relationships
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team player
  • Attend/organise conferences, events, and roadshows
  • A passion for blockchain technology and digital assets, including the crypto asset market
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and hands-on
  • Highly proactive and outgoing personality - thrives in a fast-moving environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both German and English is a must
