Ärztekasse Genossenschaft develops together with its partners and supplier’s software for health professionals. As a PostgreSQL administrator and engineer you will develop and optimize the products for doctor offices, patient billing and eHealth services.

Our delivery organization is distributed and complex, leveraging our CDM Cloud Platform built on Kubernetes (k8s) and includes applications from Atlassian running on PostgreSQL. We are looking for experienced engineers to design and implement the next generation of our products and eHealth services.

PostgreSQL - Postgres Database Administrator / Developer (w/m)

Pensum: 80-100 %

Start: immediately or by appointment

Duration: unlimited

Location: Zurich area (Urdorf or Geneva)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases within our Kubernetes-based cloud platform.
  • Ensure the performance, reliability and security of databases supporting both in-house and Atlassian applications.
  • Performance tuning of server systems and queries of applications.
  • Analyse metrics for capacity planning and potential performance issues.
  • Implement and maintain DevOps practices using tools like Prometheus, Flux and Helm.
  • Uphold high standards of data security and compliance in a regulated industry environment.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with PostgreSQL in a cloud-native environment, particularly Kubernetes.
  • Strong background in DevOps and container orchestration.
  • Passion for out of the box thinking to design custom solutions for challenges faced.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and regulatory compliance.
  • Innovative mindset and passion for developing impactful eHealth solutions.
  • English is required.
  • German or French is a plus.
