Key Responsibilities
- Database Administration: Ensure the performance, reliability, and security of our databases supporting both in-house and Atlassian applications.
- Performance Tuning: Optimize server systems and queries of applications to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Capacity Planning: Analyze metrics to identify potential performance issues and plan for future capacity needs.
- DevOps Practices: Implement and maintain DevOps practices using tools like Prometheus, Flux, and Helm.
- Data Security: Uphold high standards of data security and compliance in a regulated industry environment.
Desired Skills
- PostgreSQL Experience: Proven experience with PostgreSQL in a cloud-native environment, particularly Kubernetes.
- DevOps Background: Strong background in DevOps and container orchestration.
- Problem-Solving: Passion for out-of-the-box thinking to design custom solutions for challenges faced.
- Security Knowledge: Knowledge of security best practices and regulatory compliance.
