FIVE's exciting new project, FIVE Zurich, which opened on 30th June 2022, is a newly revamped lifestyle hotel and Swiss hotspot that has previously been visited by the likes of Rihanna, Freddy Mercury, Grace Jones and Muhammad Ali as regular guests. Set to be a huge success, overlooking the city center from Zurich's stunning Uetliberg plateau, this property is home to 87 suites and rooms as well as 7 award-winning and new culinary concepts centered around FIVE's hallmark musical stylings. The new FIVE hotel in Zurich seamlessly unites the very best of Swiss hospitality with FIVE's characteristic flair for exceptionally indulgent experiences for guests from the city and international visitors alike.

Our F&B Team are the final piece of the puzzle, they are cultured yet trendy personalities with an intuitive ability to anticipate colleagues' needs by being in the right place at the right time and delivering a hospitality experience that goes above and beyond - crafting experiences for our team members that last a lifetime.

As Bartender you will join a committed F&B team driven with the intent of delivering 'FIVE-star' guest experiences to an international diaspora.

As our ideal candidate, you have proven experience in a highly active environment. Your organisational, communication, and leadership skills are second to none and you enjoy developing solutions that push groundbreaking boundaries.

You'll work closely with the management team to develop constantly evolving service goals.

  • You are a brew enthusiast with a strong knowledge of mixology, wine, beverages, and cocktails, which is essential in order to craft FIVE specials that are an integral part of the entertaining FIVE experience
  • Master the art of upselling and promoting specials to every customer – all while have fun with the guests and your colleagues
  • Prepare drink orders for guests according to specified recipes using measuring systems
  • Maintain cleanliness of the entire bar unit, including tables, and other tools, following all set-up guidelines
  • Prepare fresh garnishes for drinks
  • Document and communicate any incidents/accidents immediately to management during shift or event
  • Requisition all necessary supplies such as ice, glassware, and paper provisions as per requirements, specifically bottle-for-bottle liquor restock.
  • Transporting supplies from storeroom to bar set-up area as required.
  • Remove soiled wares from bar top and tables and place in designated area.
  • Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs promptly, ensuring no shortages throughout scheduled function time, and ensuring proper authorization for additional payments as required prior to replenishing.
  • Adherence to all service standards and FIVE policies
  • Guarantee a cost-conscious method of working
  • Participation in internal meetings and training courses
  • Take over from the previous shift and obtain information at the start of the shift on all relevant information on the volume of business, VIP guests, tasks to be clarified and to be completed and special events - or pass this on to the next shift

  • Swiss work permit holder or EU ID / Passport holder
