Research Chemist - Research Scientist vacancy for our Stein based client in the pharma sector.

Your tasks:

  • Following broad frameworks to operate equipment needed to carry out trial work
  • Ensuring samples are available and delivered on time
  • Resolving routine issues with minimal senior staff or supervisory guidance and approval
  • Developing new synthesis routes and processes considering safety, scalability, sustainability and cost-effectiveness
  • Planning, undertaking and analyzing organic reactions including TLC, IR, GC, LC, NMR, and MS


Your experience/knowledge:

  • Solid skills in theoretical and practical organic chemistry and organic synthesis
  • Demonstrated professional experience in a modern chemical laboratory environment
  • Proficiency in purification techniques
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Technical chemistry education or a university degree in organic chemistry
  • Language skills: English

  • Excellent teamwork skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Analytical and solution-orientated thinking
