On behalf of our client, a leading Swiss multinational in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry, we are seeking a dynamic Global IT Head of Quality Systems. This pivotal role is globally accountable for all aspects of planning, building, and running IT/OT systems used in quality labs, as well as IT systems dedicated to quality assurance. Additionally, the position acts as the IT Business Partner for the Business Function “Quality.”
Your Tasks:
- Oversee the global IT Center of Excellence (CoE) for Quality Systems, managing staff recruitment, development, and performance reviews. Handle financial responsibilities for associated cost centers, including personnel and external service partner costs.
- Gather and assess the IT needs of the “Quality” function, advising on solutions, and supporting the prioritization of IT projects and change requests. Contribute to the project portfolio process and steer the implementation of Quality Systems-related solutions, serving as an escalation point as needed.
- Accountable for the lifecycle management of Lab and QA systems. Drive continuous improvement in functionality, stability, and performance, overseeing incident and problem management related to these systems.
- Provide technical support for projects, changes, and maintenance of Lab and Quality Systems. Evaluate and recommend new technologies, and contribute to the selection and preparation of future Lab and QA systems.
- Ensure adherence to GMP regulations and IT security policies for new and enhanced solutions. Assign system ownership and ensure compliance with defined roles and responsibilities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, building strategic alliances to support the team, department, and company goals. Review and approve major contracts for computing and IT services in the Lab and QA systems area.
Your Profile:
- Bachelor's in Computer Science; Master’s in Business Administration or equivalent preferred.
- IT Solution Specialist (Microsoft Certification, others)
- 10+ years of experience in applications / Infrastructure.
- 5-10 years of experience in IT Service Management.
- Strong leadership with experience in managing global teams.
- Expertise in Lab/QA systems (e.g., CDS, TrackWise).
- 2 direct reports, 6+ internal through others, 10-20 external contractors.
