Job Description


Location: Plan-les-Ouates, Switzerland

Type: Permanent Contract


Job Overview: Join a dynamic and innovative team to develop cutting-edge automated quality control and testing systems. As an Expert Vision Engineer, you will be responsible for creating hardware and software solutions in Vision, contributing to both standard product development and custom solutions. You will also have the opportunity to install your creations at client sites, primarily in Switzerland and France, with potential global assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define Inspection Technology: Utilize 2D or 3D optics and various sensors.
  • System Design: Propose and document optical, multi-inspection, and mechatronic systems, including schematics and functional analysis.
  • Measurement & Testing: Estimate measurement uncertainties and implement test plans.
  • Algorithm Development: Specify, develop, and document image and data processing algorithms.
  • Client Solutions: Implement turnkey solutions at client sites, provide training, and offer after-sales support.
  • Technological Innovation: Participate in technological monitoring, propose ideas, and conduct studies.

Requirements

Ideal Profile:

  • Educational Background: Degree in microtechnology, computer science, electronics, physics, or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in developing Vision Industrial solutions and special machines.
  • Skills: Experience in automation, real-time systems, or PLC is a plus. Proactive communication skills in both French and English. Knowledge of VBAI or HALCON is a significant advantage. Familiarity with Cognex is a plus.
  • Personal Attributes: Agile, reliable, and excellence-driven. Autonomous and team-oriented with a preference for simple and robust solutions.
