The Payroll Manager position is responsible for managing a team that processes a large volume, multiple entity and complex payrolls. You are the main contact and SME for the payrolls you support. You will work with Payroll Vendors and TLM Administrators to support your team in processing of payroll, providing all appropriate payroll input, ensuring integrations are delivered and validating data before it is transferred to the vendor. You will work with the Global Payroll Process Lead to help identify process improvements related to the payrolls, document requirements and support payroll testing.
You will be reporting to the Head of Payroll EMEA and will support payrolls for Germany and Switzerland, so experience in one or both, will be an advantage. We are offering a flexible and hybrid working model.
Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Ensures payrolls are processed accurately, on time and in accordance with all federal, state, local and regulatory requirements.
Manages the payroll team based in Switzerland and Germany, and ensures development of the team, supports the team in meeting Service level agreement and targets.
First point of escalation for all payroll related matters, responds to complex employee payroll queries escalated from the Service Centre.
Interprets policies and regulation regarding leaves, disability, allowances, one-time payments, garnishments and works with payroll vendors to ensure they are applied through payroll and settled correctly.
Identifies and works with the Global Payroll Process Lead to implement process improvement within assigned payrolls.
Works with the Global Compliance & Audit Lead provide support to any internal/external audit processes. Ensures any regular finance, compliance and audit reporting is delivered following agreed timescales. Leads audits and reconciliations of payroll data for their payrolls.
Reviews payroll policies/ procedures and ensures that the payroll calendars and processing schedules are consistent with organizational policies.
Works with the Global Payroll Process Lead to define Payroll requirements related to payroll projects or enhancements. Performs User Acceptance Testing and document results, ensure user guides are updated.
Ensures that CSL meets its compliance with all federal/state, and regulatory requirements.
Your Profile
Bachelors in HR/Accounting degree or Diploma in payroll
6-8 years of experience in managing a large Payroll team processing end-to-end payroll for multiple countries with more than 4500 employees total. Exposure to TLM, taxation, audit, and compliance.
Strong payroll team management, stakeholder management and communication skills.
Strong leadership and engagement. High-level analytical and problem-solving capability.
Process management and business process analysis competencies and demonstrated ability to support complex HR/Payroll models.
