The site in Visp, Switzerland is growing, with Bioconjugates as one of the major drivers of the expansion.Lonza was one of the first CDMOs to support the commercialization of bioconjugate productsand is now focused on building resource and facility capacity to meet the rapidly developing market appetite for this technology. Our teams are known for their passion to drive the delivery of new conjugated therapies to patients andfor their work to continuously improve our collaboration as we step into a new (bigger) chapter of our Business Unit.
As a result, we are currently looking for (Senior) for our Bioconjugates Business Unit (Drug Substance manufacturing). In this role, you will be the key interface between Lonza and the customerto drive the execution of customer scopes of work aimed at bringing innovative therapies to the market. You are an advisor along the whole life cycle and will lead your program team to propose the optimal package to successfully balance quality, costs, and timelines per the needs of the customer and within the abilities of Lonza.
Key responsibilities:
Drive the complete lifecycle of all projects (including tech transfer and GMP production) with a large and complex portfolio from signing of the contract to delivery
Manage a team of experts in a matrix organization and drive the successful delivery of contracted work in terms of quality, costs and time
Act as single point of contact for the customer and function as the customer advocate within Lonza
Drive the communication within Lonza as well as between Lonza and the customer to proactively manage resolutions to risks and issues
Ensure timeline integration of projects within the customer program and alignment of scopes for assigned customers across business units
Control project scope and in conjunction with the Proposals Team, prepare amendments and/or scope changes.
Provide input into mid-long term program strategies in conjunction with Sales and Commercial Development
Coach and mentor other team members
Key requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree with technical background (chemistry, biology, biotechnology or similar), PhD preferred
Previous work experience in Project Management – ideally in the pharmaceutical or CMO industry
Proven knowledge of technical, commercial, and organizational challenges that impact project strategy and planning
Successful management of programs over several years in a relevant business environment
Able to analyze and solve complex problems which do not have routine solutions
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Fluent in English
