The Director - Global Monomers and Additives is responsible for managing a globally dispersed procurement team that manages the strategy and supplier development for over $380M in spend. The team consists of approx. 9 people located in the Americas, Europe and Asia. This role reports directly to the VP of Direct Materials.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide strong leadership to a global team of matter experts and build team capabilities to support the strategic goal of hiring 85% from within Axalta Develop and deploy a visions and strategy aligned with our Company initiatives and strategic goals. Focus on risk management for continuity of supply and price stability Develop contracts that de-risk the business and to ensure that our sourcing agreements align with our customer commercial pricing mechanisms. Focus on key base KPI’sProductivityWorking capital improvementsPeople development / hire from withinRisk management Work with key internal stakeholders at various levels of the organization, to build strong partnerships and to ensure a balanced and value add procurement process. Be a change agent and exercise leadership and collaboration with key stakeholders, peers, suppliers to drive the right focus on necessary change management and transformation. Oversee the performance management of the supply base to ensure that it continuously offers optimal quality, service, technology, and value (QSTV) Directly negotiate higher-value supply agreements, lead high-impact quarterly business reviews (QBRs), and sponsor supplier relationship management (SRM) activities with strategic suppliers Manage supplier relationships and contract negotiations to identify suppliers capable of meeting product and service requirements for both current and future business needs.

Support and grow team members with a focus on career path development, diversity of thought and experience. Lead employees using performance management processes and tools to engage and encourage employee contribution including goal setting, ongoing feedback, and annual performance reviews. Empower employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals. Delegate responsibility and expect accountability and regular feedback.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a business, supply chain, or technical discipline Demonstrated ability to develop and drive a performance-based culture Subject matter expert in contracting and risk management 5+ years of leadership experience in strategic procurement for a global industrial business Prior experience partnering with senior executive stakeholders and across functions at all levels Ability to think strategically, conceptually, and analytically to assess problems, identify and consider potential solutions, and make timely recommendations Ability to travel as needed to manage a global team and supply base
