Amazon data centers are large-scale high-density centers where you will be working on changing the face of Cloud technology in the region. /p pAmazon Data Centers takes customer data with the utmost importance, and selected candidates must be able to perform repetitive tasks without variance and adhere to strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) that ensures customer data is protected and properly handled. /p h3Key job responsibilities /h3 pProblem Solving /p ul liMaintain a high level of system reliability by prioritizing and resolving trouble tickets efficiently /li liEscalation point and technical troubleshooter for all Systems and Network hardware problems /li liEscalating to senior technicians and management as needed/required /li /ul h3Technical: /h3 ul liTroubleshoot technical issues on various platforms ranging from Systems through Networking /li liRemediation of physical layer outages, both Systems Network /li /ul h3Operations: /h3 ul liAdhere to security and safety best practices in the data center /li liMeet 24x7 On-Call requirements and response during shift rotations. /li liInstall configure racks of hosts in line with internal SLAs /li liTriage resolve trouble tickets for all devices in your region /li liData Center point of contact for all High Severity issues /li liPhysical replacement of server and network device parts /li liInteract with third party vendors contractors /li liContribute ideas to improve operational efficiency /li liEngage with Remote Hands Eyes /li liParticipate in team meetings for metric analysis and project status updates /li liHelp build the world’s largest Cloud infrastructure /li /ul h3A day in the life /h3 h3Why AWS? /h3 pAmazon Web Services (AWS) is the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion. /p h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul liHardware Troubleshooting experience /li liBooting: POST, BIOS, PXE, Kickstart, GRUB/LILO, RAID /li liSome Experience with Network Protocols: TCP/IP, Ethernet, Layer2 Layer3 troubleshooting /li liNetwork Hardware: Copper and Optical Fiber Cabling, Switches, Routers /li liStrong Communication Skills /li liPassionate about IT infrastructure and hardware /li liThis position also has a physical component requiring the ability to lift rack equipment up to 18 kilos; it may require working in cramped spaces or in elevated locations while adhering to Health Safety guidelines. Position is shift based and involves working in a shift rotation to ensure 24x7 coverage. /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications
