We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon. /ppAs a bField Service Engineer (m/f/d) /b you will be responsible for carrying out installation, emergency repair, preventive maintenance and performing retrofits and upgrades on Alcon surgical equipment within the assigned territory in Switzerland. In addition, you will be expected to negotiate service agreements that contribute to meeting and exceeding sales goals. /ph3In this role, a typical day will include /h3ulliPerform corrective and preventive maintenance, retrofits, upgrades, and system installations. /liliEstablish and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. /liliPromptly address customer concerns, quality assurance and medical safety issues. /liliManage daily schedule while maintaining accurate and timely communications with customers, dispatch, managers, regional and cross-functional teams. /liliMaintain all administrative responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner. /liliAssist Sales, Clinical and In-house team including other Field Service Representatives as needed. /liliManage inventory, keep accurate records, and promptly return unused and failed parts. /liliPromote/sell service contract offerings to customers and assist Sales in selling service agreements to customers within the assigned territory as needed. /li /ulh3WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON /h3ulliBachelor’s degree or technical education in electrical, mechanical, biomedical, optical engineering or a related field /liliFluency in German and English /liliResidence in Switzerland (German-speaking part) /liliValid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout Switzerland /liliStrong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills /liliExperience servicing complex technical equipment, medical devices, laboratory equipment or industrial systems /liliAbility to work independently from a home office and in the field /liliProfessional communication skills in customer-facing environments /li /ulh3NICE TO HAVE /h3ulliExperience with medical devices, surgical equipment or healthcare technology /liliKnowledge of ophthalmic or surgical systems /liliExperience working in hospitals or operating theatre environments /liliPrevious field service experience in a customer-facing role /li /ulh3HOW CAN YOU THRIVE AT ALCON /h3ulliA competitive salary package with fixed salary and bonus /liliA flexible work environment with competent and committed colleagues.
