We’re looking for an expert who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys problem-solving, and is passionate about optimizing, automating, and securing cloud-based infrastructures. This is a pivotal role where you will oversee the seamless operation of both internal and external services, ensuring our systems run reliably, securely, and at peak performance. /p pYou’ll manage end-to-end IT operations with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and modern CI/CD orchestration via Harness, collaborating closely with our development teams. You’ll lead efforts in continuous delivery orchestration, intelligent monitoring, and AI-driven capacity management to help shape the future of our IT strategy. Your expertise in GCP and automated release pipelines will be critical as you deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability and performance meet our growing business needs. /p h3Expect a Day Full of: /h3 pGoogle Cloud Platform (GCP) Management Monitoring /p ul lipArchitecture Performance:Lead the design and optimization of automated monitoring for GCP servers and networks to proactively catch performance bottlenecks. /p /li lipHigh Availability Scaling:Ensure high availability of production environments through proactive maintenance and develop capacity strategies as client demand grows. /p /li lipSLA Operations:Monitor SLA compliance, managing timely client communication for operational updates or API changes. /p /li lipDeployment Ownership:Take full responsibility for build deployments from DEV through to PROD, ensuring seamless transitions and strict data security. /p /li /ul pIncident Management Support /p ul lipEscalation Point:Swiftly triage and resolve escalated help desk issues for internal and external stakeholders. /p /li lipIncident Response:Lead incident handling, perform root cause analyses, and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence. /p /li lipIT Infrastructure:Support and manage both internal physical and cloud-based IT setups. /p /li /ul pOperations Documentation /p ul lipGovernance Process:Develop, document, and refine operational IT policies to drive efficiency, reliability, and compliance. /p /li lipVendor Management:Oversee third-party contracts to ensure service alignment with our operational standards. /p /li lipTooling:Maintain clear, structured documentation of processes and incident reports inJiraandConfluence. /p /li /ul h3Who We’re Looking For: /h3 pBelow you'll see our skill wish list. As a start-up we are growing and learning ourselves, so let's grow together. /p pEducation Languages /p ul lipEducation:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. /p /li lipCertifications:Google Cloud Certification (e.g., Google Cloud Certified – Professional Cloud Architect) is required. /p /li lipLanguages:Proficiency in English is essential; (Swiss-)German is a plus. /p /li /ul pExperience /p ul lipGCP Operations:5+ years of experience in IT operations with significant expertise in managing GCP environments. /p /li lipAutonomy Scale:Proven ability to independently manage, deploy, and scale cloud-based production infrastructures. /p /li lipIndustry Focus:Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries is a plus. /p /li /ul pTechnical Skills /p ul lipGCP Workspace:Deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform services, architecture, and Google Workspace Administration. /p /li lipAI Cloud Integration:Familiarity with implementing or managing AI/ML workloads, Vertex AI, or AI-powered operations (AIOps) tools.
Containerization CI/CD: Proficient in managing Kubernetes deployments, manifest files, and utilizing Harness (GitOps/CD) alongside Jenkins. /p /li lipSecurity IaC:Skilled in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Pulumi) and secure communications (TLS, mTLS, X.509 certificates). /p /li lipScripting CI/CD:Solid in Python, Bash, or TypeScript (Go is a bonus
