As member of the division management and a direct reporting line to the CEO, this person will manage:Strategic and operational management of the R&D center with complete responsibility for budget and resultsA multidisciplinary R&D team of mechanical, electrical, hardware and software teamsAnalyzing new, innovative technologies and assessing their applicability in the industryDefinition of the development roadmap in close collaboration with Product ManagementSteering of all development projects worldwide from the idea up to the market readiness under consideration of the critical time to market and budget targetsSecuring the technological know-how within the group through detailed documentation and appropriate training and education measuresClose collaboration with internal as well as external stakeholdersResponsibility for patents and certificationsContinuous improvement of the R&D processesThe Successful ApplicantMaster's degree in electrical or electro-mechanical engineering, PhD is a very nice to haveAt least 10 years of experience in a similar (international) functionProven leadership capacity managing multidisciplinary teams (60+ fte)Driven by passion to further develop technological and quality leadershipEnergetic, charismatic personality driven by scientific curiosity and fighting spirit to get ideas doneAs innovator you can think out of the box with a structured and target focused working styleEntrepreneurial mind-set and strength in conceptional and analytical thinkingFlexibility for international commutingFluent in English, German is a nice to haveWhat's on OfferA senior leadership role with significant autonomy and influence within a high-performing, international business.
