Job details For one of our clients, a well-established energy trading company, we are looking for a Risk Analyst (Power & Gas) to join their team in Geneva. Your mission: Take full ownership of complex derivative trading books and play a key role in configuring a new power & gas ETRM system Spot, capture, and communicate the most material risks of the business, including tail risk and convexity Deliver daily pricing, positions, P&L, VAR, and FX exposure reports with accuracy and reliability Provide senior management with insightful weekly risk and performance summaries Partner with Back Office teams to ensure seamless daily reconciliations and improve processes for power and gas assets Contribute to the exciting build-out of a physical power and gas trading business across Europe and the UK Your profile: 3–4 years of experience in risk management or middle office within European power & gas markets Solid derivatives trading knowledge with hands-on exposure to complex products MSc degree or higher in finance, economics, engineering, or another quantitative field Strong programming skills in Python are a must; SQL or other coding languages are an advantage Ideally, experience with Orchestrade ETRM and good awareness of regulatory risk requirements Analytical, detail-oriented, quick to learn, and confident building relationships across teams This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing and ambitious trading business, gain exposure to physical power and gas markets, and play a central role in shaping their risk function, apply now About your applicationWhen you apply to Ampersand World, your data is processed with complete confidentiality.
