We have been exclusively mandated to recruit for a Trust / Family Officer for an International Bank based in Zurich.The role will be based in Zurich HQ, working closely with the family members of the bank as a trusted advisor and supporting them through all topics related to the family office, investments, regulatory topics and trust related activities.The purpose of the Trust Officer role is to deliver a high quality trust and company administration service and develop and enhance client relationships.Key responsibilitiesTrust Management:Actively develop and maintain working relationships with complex and/or high net worth clients, intermediaries and internal contacts in order to provide a quality service and provide best possible client offering and maximise returnsManage and develop a complex portfolio of company and trust structures.Maintain the highest level of trust and company administration by monitoring the team's timeliness, accuracy and output and acting as a point of reference in order to minimise business risk and to encourage a culture of compliance with policies, appropriate risk management, and use the principles of treating customers fairly, i.e. when dealing with complaints/enquiriesCash management of client portfolio, including the control and clearance of feesEnsure that team and individual financial and non-financial targets are met in order to maintain a sustainable fiduciary businessAssist with completion of all budget calculationsDemonstrate a thorough understanding of fiduciary responsibility in order to protect the client, yourself, the team and the businessTo encourage a culture of upholding the banks values and act as a role model to the team.Business/Market Knowledge:Develop and sustain a broad technical knowledge across products and services of the Bank to ensure business is supportedUpdate personal knowledge of intermediary/wealth management market, ensuring that the reputation of is upheld to the highest level possible in terms of compliance and reputation internally and externally and to give continuous consideration to treating customers fairly.Internal Control:Attend client meetings as required and maintain full, accurate files/notes of all meetings/calls/conversations using the banks systems to store.ProfileGood understanding of the relevant laws of the local jurisdictionUnderstand the basic features of the different types of investment productsWorking knowledge of Microsoft packages including Excel, Outlook, and WordGood numeracy skills and ability to understand routine documentsAbility to deal with conflicting demands under pressureAbility to demonstrate effective communication skillsKnowledge of business procedures, standards, policies and proceduresEnglish & German - Fluent (ideally)Education/Professional Qualifications requiredA minimum of 5 years relevant trust and company experienceAssociate of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries & Administrators or Diploma in Offshore Finance & Administration (pre-professional)Or STEP Diploma in International Trust Management,Or Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers/IFS,Or Trustee Diploma.We look forward to receiving your application.
