Scientist We are seeking a QC Microbiology Technical Specialist (m/f/d) to serve as a scientific subject matter expert and departmental representative for microbiological quality control activities at a biotechnology/production site in Visp, Switzerland. This role involves internal and external technical representation, scientific oversight of project-specific microbiology analyses, and coordination of key QC deliverables across cross-functional teams. The position is primarily on-site, with limited remote flexibility.Must-havesMinimum 2 years of professional experience in a microbiology, QC, or related laboratory environmentSolid scientific understanding of microbiological analyses and their application in regulated environmentsStrong ability to present technical information clearly in internal meetings, customer interactions, audits, and inspectionsDemonstrated experience coordinating work packages or project activities across interdisciplinary teamsStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage timelines and multiple prioritiesExcellent communication abilities in both written and spoken formAbility to work mainly on-site, with a maximum of 2 remote days permittedMain ResponsibilitiesAct as the technical representative of the QC Microbiology department in internal discussions, customer meetings, audits, visits, and inspections related to assigned projectsServe as the scientific subject matter expert (SME) for project-specific microbiological analyses and related QC activitiesMonitor, evaluate, and coordinate the implementation of scientific or procedural improvements within QC MicrobiologyCoordinate and ensure timely completion of assigned project work packages across various business unitsMaintain effective communication within interdisciplinary teams, including research studies, validation/verification activities, deviation investigations, and analytical transfersProvide scientific guidance to ensure compliance with quality standards and project requirements
