Job description
3Brain is looking for a full-time research scientist with an electrophysiological
background to conduct experimental campaigns taking place at 3Brain’s
3Brain’s partner premises. This position offers an attractive compensation and
requires the availability to live and work abroad (UK) for at least the first year,
possibly up to 2 or max 3 years. Afterward, the position will continue and the
person will be able to return to Italy. Main responsibilities:

- Perform experimental tests with diverse cell preparations and cell models

(e.g., cultures, spheroids, organoids) on 3Brain’s measurement systems.
- Supervising and maintaining a cell culture laboratory, dealing with the

culture of adherent mammalian cell lines and iPSCs.
- Process experimental results, perform statistical analysis, prepare and

present reports.
- Organization of daily research activities, managing project priorities and

deadlines, identifying and resolving instrumentation issues, arranging
maintenance contracts and servicing.
- Routine laboratory maintenance including for example: changing filters, gas

tanks, cleaning machines, ordering equipment supplies and reagents
- Required Qualifications- PhD degree in molecular biology / biomedical sciences / neurobiology.

- Experience with either microelectrode array (MEA) or patch-clamp

recordings.
- Knowledgeable about statistical analysis tools.
- 2+ years of laboratory experience in cell culturing and maintenance

(especially hIPSCs).
- Highly motivated self-starter and problem solver.
- Proficient working in a Windows environment.
- Additional Qualifications- Strong molecular and biochemical background.
- 1+ years of laboratory experience in compound screening assays.
