JobdescriptionWe're the Simulacrum Team, and we're looking for apragmatic engineer to help us simulate complex diagnostic hardware.Our goal is simple: create high-fidelity virtual instruments so oursoftware teams can develop and test without needing the physicalmachines.GeneralInformation:Start Date:asapLatest Possible Start Date:1.3.26Planned Duration of Employment: 12monthsExtension (for temporary contracts):possibleHome Office: Is possible, at least 2-3days in the office (team days)Team:9Working Hours:StandardTasks &Responsibilities:Software developmentwithin the Simulacrum agile team, who takes care of every activityrelated with the design, implementation, deployment and maintenanceof instrument simulations used bydifferent ProjectsRelentless improvementof the software stack and toolchainClosecollaboration with internalcustomers MustHaves:University degree in softwareengineeringKnowledge and experience in modernC++ (C++17 or higher) Must feelcomfortable on a GNU command lineExperiencewith git and at least one collaboration tool (GitHub/GitLab/AzureDevOps) Experience with Linux, forexample debian packaging, basic systemadministration experience with container virtualisation(docker, etc.) writing of shellscriptsExperience with modern Python, forexample developing command line toolswriting webbackendsFeels comfortable in an agileenvironment, experience is a plusCommunicativeopen-minded team playerPragmatic and fastproblem solverEnglish written and spoken,German is a plusKnowledge inRustWe thank you foryour application
