We provide a collaborative platform for policy insight, regional analysis, and long-term institution building.About the RoleCMSD is seeking to appoint an Advisor for Fundraising as part of its Advisory Board. This honorary position is aimed at experienced professionals who can guide CMSD in strengthening its fundraising capacity, identifying micro-grant opportunities, and helping the institution secure essential early-stage funding.The Advisor will support CMSD in navigating European philanthropic networks, donor ecosystems, foundations, and institutional funding pipelines. The role involves targeted micro-fundraising and developing a structured approach for grant applications and donor engagement.Responsibilities• Identify and advise on micro-grant opportunities, philanthropic foundations, and small donor programs across Europe• Provide guidance to CMSD leadership for securing initial funding to support institutional setup and compliance processes• Map relevant European foundations, public-interest entities, and multilateral or regional funding windows suitable for early-stage think tanks• Support the development of donor communication materials, small-grant proposals, and outreach frameworks• Offer strategic advice on building long-term funding pathways and cultivating institutional supporters• Mentor young professionals and researchers on fundraising approaches and donor engagement• Participate in quarterly advisory meetings and contribute insights on European donor landscapesWhat We Offer• Opportunity to be in Board of Directors of leading youth-led global Think Tank• Recognition as an Advisor within a growing international think tank with increasing visibility across Europe and Asia• Flexibility to propose initiatives and lead fundraising-related projects aligned with your expertise• Visibility through CMSD's publications, dialogues, and collaborations• While this position is honorary, a share of profits may be considered for successfully facilitated paid partnerships or funded advisory engagementsIdeal Candidate Profile• Senior-level experience in fundraising, institutional development, or resource mobilization within nonprofits, think tanks, development agencies, or policy institutions• Strong understanding of European donor ecosystems, philanthropic networks, and small-grant funding instruments• Established experience engaging with foundations, public-interest organizations, regional programs, EU-related institutions, or cross-border policy networks• Ability to guide donor outreach strategies, proposal preparation, and early-stage resource mobilization• Clear communication, leadership skills, and an interest in mentoring emerging scholars• Commitment to advancing multilateral cooperation, evidence-based policymaking, and institutional growthHow to ApplyFor expressions of interest or nominations, please contact:-
