Organization Description

EquipSent collects unused laboratory equipment from high-income countries and sends it to schools and universities in low-income regions. The organization manages donations (mainly from Switzerland) and oversees the shipment of equipment to underserved areas.

By giving laboratory instruments a second life, EquipSent proudly contributes to several Sustainable Development Goals, supporting hands-on education and research worldwide.

EquipSent is a non-profit organization supported by the ETH Student Project House. The team currently consists of nine dedicated volunteers.

Role Description

We are looking for a
Case Leader
to join our team.

The Case Leader will oversee the entire donation process—from initial contact to delivery—including case management, communication with recipient institutions, preparation of legal and customs documentation, packing of equipment, coordination of shipping logistics, and ensuring the successful delivery and installation of donations.

Most of the work can be done remotely via email and video calls. However, the packing process requires on-site presence at our storage facility at
ETH Hönggerberg, Zurich
.

The Case Leader will collaborate closely with the EquipSent team to ensure a smooth process for all parties involved, including participation in a monthly video call meeting.

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in English (additional languages are a plus)
  • Motivation and commitment to follow the project through until the equipment is successfully delivered
