We are looking for a Manufacturing Specialist to join our teams in Visp and support the implementation of new SAP functionalities while driving process optimization and documentation improvements within downstream manufacturing operations.

Your Responsibilities

  • Act as the functional lead for an interdisciplinary team of production personnel, supervisors, and specialists, ensuring the successful roll-out of new initiatives and the achievement of assigned project goals.
  • Take ownership of the implementation of new SAP functionalities, ensuring comprehensive change management and thorough updates of all related manufacturing documentation (e.g. SOPs, batch records).
  • Establish and maintain training documentation for manufacturing personnel, plant logistics, and other production-related functions.
  • Guide and support manufacturing activities for clinical and/or commercial production across one or more defined DSP areas, such as capture, intermediate purification, polishing, or drug substance filling.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related Life Science discipline.
  • Significant work experience in Downstream Processing or BioConjugate Manufacturing within the biotech/biopharma industry (e.g. chromatography, ultra-/diafiltration, dead-end filtration).
  • Strong understanding of GMP principles and compliance requirements.
  • Proven expertise in SAP, particularly in areas related to material management (BOM).
  • In-depth knowledge of logistics workflows within production and solid experience as an End-User of MES systems.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and German.
  • Strong team orientation, structured and organized working style, and a solution-driven mindset.
  • Open-minded and receptive to new ideas and continuous improvement initiatives.
