German Teacher - Middle School Maternity Cover: Full time from as soon as possible to June 19, 2026

Applicants should have at least 2-3 years of experience teaching German as a foreign language and/or German as a fluent language at the middle school level (grades 6 - 8), preferably in an international school setting. Teaching certification is required and applicants must show evidence of:

• German proficiency (minimum C2)
• Teaching license including specialism
• Documented record of excellence in teaching
• BA / BSC or equivalent university degree
• Understanding of Middle School philosophy and best practice
• Integration of technology into curriculum
• Inquiry based pedagogical approach
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
• Ability to differentiate for diverse learning needs
• Good knowledge of written and spoken English
• Experience using digital technology to support student learning
  Commitment to teamwork, collaboration, and active participation in school life

Very desirable to have:

• EDK teaching status recognition for Zurich
  Experience working in an International School context

This position could potentially continue into the 2026/27 school year as a 40% position.
