Position Summary:
The Client Executive is a field-based, direct sales role responsible for both client retention as well as growth through contract expansion and the introduction of new products and services. You will consult with C-level executives of large enterprises to develop and implement an effective, enterprise-wide strategy that maximizes the value delivered by Gartner's products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account management with an outcome of increased customer satisfaction and an increase in retention and account growth
- Quota responsibility of $1,500,000+ of contract value within a territory of major client accounts in public sector
- Mastery and consistent execution of Gartner's sales methodology
- Account planning and territory management
- Managing forecast accuracy on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis
- Maintaining competitive knowledge and focus
- In-depth knowledge of Gartner's products and services
Job Requirements
- 10-15 years external experience with proven success in consultative sales, preferably experience in high technology (services, software or hardware)
- Ability to prospect and manage C-level and senior level relationships within large companies in public sector
- Strong demonstration of intellect, drive, executive presence, sales acumen
- Proven experience building excellent client relationships, offering value added, insightful and strategic insight into their business
- Proven ability to understand enterprise-wide issues and to structure innovative, integrated solutions that provide IT decision support to global companies
- Comprehensive understanding of technology buying centers
- Extensive and relevant industry knowledge, specific to vertical markets per territory
- Strong computer proficiency
- Excellent written and oral/presentation skills
- Ability to develop and conduct effective presentations with contract decision makers (C-level)
- Knowledge of the full life cycle of the sales process from prospecting to close
- Fluent level of German
- Bachelors degree, with strong evidence of success in school
- Masters or advanced degree a plus
