Microcaps is an ETH Zurich spin-off founded in March 2019. Our unique technology allows us to produce highly precise and innovative microcapsules that empower materials to unlock new capabilities; all tailored to various markets from cosmetics to nutraceutical and pharma.

Our first commercialized products are now on the market and include cosmetic skin serum and encapsulated fine fragrance. Our current aim is to expand our production capacity to produce sustainable water-based fine fragrance at scale. Join us on our mission to bring Swiss precision to the realm of microencapsulation.

We are looking for:

Part-time Office assistant (40%)

Would you like to work with a dynamic team in a role that will give you plenty of variety and opportunity to learn?

The Business Services team runs most of the administrative elements of our business including Finance, IT, Facilities, Procurement, HR, Supply Chain and whatever else needs to be done. Since we cover a wide range of operational tasks, we are looking for committed people with the ability to multi-task, a desire to just "get stuff done" and most importantly, a willingness to learn.

Tasks
  • Office and facilities management
  • Organising team events and trainings
  • Admin tasks, including postal service, logistics of sample shipment, travel booking for the team
  • Basic accounting services (no experience required)
  • Supporting key team members to organize various activities
  • Ad hoc tasks
Requirements
  • You are a natural communicator and are able to understand the needs of a dynamic team with ease.
  • You are a pragmatic problem solver and are able to quickly discover and resolve potential conflicts.
  • Ability and enjoyment of self-organization.
  • Ability to make decisions in your own area.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Great computer literacy.
  • Work permit in Switzerland required, fluent in English and German.

Nice to have:

  • A completed Commercial apprenticeship or business qualification
  • Some business experience
