Application Engineer /System Engineer – Air Traffic Systems (100%) | Zurich| Start: January 2026
We're looking for an
Application Engineer
to join a highly skilled team working on advanced
airport and tower control systems
supporting safe and efficient air traffic operations across Switzerland.
Your mission
As part of the engineering team, you will:
- Maintain and evolve critical applications used in air traffic operations (24/7 systems).
- Collaborate closely with application owners and technical experts.
- Ensure system requirements and documentation meet European aviation standards.
- Support integration, testing, and validation activities together with operational teams.
- Analyze incidents and provide engineering support in a safety-critical environment.
- Contribute to automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Your profile
- Engineering degree in IT, Telecommunications, Aeronautics, or equivalent.
- Experience managing industrial or regulated applications with strict quality and safety standards.
- Solid knowledge of
Linux (RedHat)
, scripting, and IP networking. - Familiarity with virtualization and service-oriented architectures is an advantage.
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in
English (C1)
