Application Engineer EFSS

We are looking for an Application Engineer to join our customer's Tower & Airport Systems division and work on EFSS (Electronic Flight Strip System) — a mission-critical application used 24/7 in air traffic operations to ensure safe and efficient flight coordination.

Tasks

  • Work hands-on with the EFSS (Electronic Flight Strip System) application, in close collaboration with the Application Owner.
  • Maintain and update system requirements and specifications in compliance with EU aviation standards and regulations.
  • Produce quality assurance, compliance, and testing documentation required in a regulated safety-critical environment.
  • Provide engineering support to investigate and resolve operational incidents in a 24/7 context.
  • Test, integrate, and validate application deliveries from suppliers, including validation with Air Traffic Controllers.
  • Monitor the evolution of the customer's IT architecture and ensure system compatibility.
  • Set up and maintain various environments (development, testing, operational).
  • Contribute to test automation initiatives by improving existing tools and scripts over time.
Requirements

  • Engineering degree in IT, Telecommunications, Aeronautics, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience managing industrial or mission-critical applications with strong compliance, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Solid knowledge of requirements and test engineering in regulated environments.
  • Strong experience with Linux (Red Hat 7+), scripting, and a solid understanding of networking and IP protocols.
  • Familiarity with virtualized infrastructures and basic understanding of service-oriented architectures (SOA).
  • Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • A collaborative team player with a proactive, constructive, and agile mindset, capable of growing towards autonomy.
  • Languages: English fluent (C1); French or German is an asset.

Our recruitment process

We have a 4 steps recruitment process at Enova:

  • A first interview by video conference TEAMS, to get to know each other, check your soft and hard skills and understand more about Enova and our activities.
  • If you are shortlisted, the second interview is as well by video conference teams or face2face to meet other people, in general the manager managing the client business relations and know more about the collaboration.
  • After getting all the different information to have a Enova-consultant collaboration, we organize a meeting and/or a technical interview with the client technical team
  • If we see each other working together in an Enova collaboration we present you during a last interview the contract that we want to propose, ideally in our office.

During this recruitment process, we communicate by phone and by mail and we can invite you to meet our teams in our office or the client's team of course.
