Proclinical is seeking a skilled Project Manager to provide strategic and technical leadership for the successful execution of a major capital expenditure (capex) project. This role involves overseeing the commissioning, qualification, and validation of a state-of-the-art aseptic filling line. You will work closely with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders to ensure timely project completion, seamless transition to operations, and adherence to budget and scope.
Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location or hold an EU passport.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the finalization of a major capex project, including engineering runs (ER) and process performance qualification (PPQ), in collaboration with manufacturing teams.
- Communicate project performance updates to senior leadership, global engineering teams, and external stakeholders.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, including Gantt charts, budgets, resource allocation, communication strategies, and risk mitigation plans.
- Ensure all project activities comply with established policies, practices, and processes.
- Guide teams to deliver project milestones on time, within budget, and according to scope using project management tools.
- Oversee change management during the transition from project phase to operational phase.
- Create contingency plans to address risks associated with complex project elements.
- Organize and facilitate technical and project management meetings with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Participate in relevant on-site and off-site meetings and activities related to the project.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Background in engineering, biological sciences, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
- Expertise in capex project management, particularly in biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries.
- Strong knowledge of aseptic filling processes and commercial filling lines, preferably in biologics.
- Proficiency in cGxP standards and project management tools.
- Proven leadership and team-building skills, with experience managing global matrix teams.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple work streams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience in risk management and strategic problem-solving.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, Prince2, SCPM) or equivalent experience.
