What you can expect

We are looking for a 'Technical Accounting Manager' to ensure accuracy and consistency of the Group's accounting policies and technical IFRS interpretations. Reporting to the 'Head of Corporate Financial Consolidation & Reporting', the role provides guidance on complex transactions, maintains the Group Accounting Manual, and supports the implementation of new accounting standards. It acts as a key advisor to global finance teams and the Group Reporting & Consolidation function, ensuring consistent application of IFRS across all entities. The position also serves as a primary liaison with external auditors on technical matters and delivers training to the global finance community to strengthen understanding of IFRS, accounting policies, and new requirements. In addition, it supports major projects such as M&A accounting, IFRS updates, and initiatives to enhance accounting governance and controls

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert technical accounting guidance on complex or non-routine transactions, ensuring compliance with IFRS and internal policies
  • Develop, update, and govern the Group Accounting Manual and related guidelines
  • Assess the impact of new or amended IFRS standards and lead their implementation across the Group
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors on technical accounting matters, including preparation of accounting position papers
  • Support M&A activities by preparing purchase price allocations, opening balance sheets, and documentation of accounting treatments
  • Collaborate closely with the Group Reporting & Consolidation team to ensure correct application of accounting principles in group reporting processes
  • Deliver training and knowledge sessions to finance teams worldwide on IFRS topics, accounting policies, and new requirements
  • Provide guidance to global entities on accounting policy interpretation and implementation
  • Contribute to finance transformation initiatives, including process improvements and internal control enhancements
  • Support risk assessments and the design of controls related to complex accounting areas

What you will bring

  • University degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA, ACCA or similar qualification preferred
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in a multinational environment or audit; Big4 experience preferred; experience in publicly listed companies is an advantage
  • Extensive IFRS knowledge, including complex areas (business combinations, revenue, leases, financial instruments, provisions, impairment)
  • Proven ability to research, interpret, and document accounting positions, strong technical paper writing for stakeholders and auditors
  • Experience supporting M&A transactions (PPA, opening balance sheets, accounting analysis)
  • Ability to clearly explain complex accounting topics and deliver training across the finance organization
  • Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and sound professional judgment
  • Experience with IFRS implementations, policy governance, or finance transformation initiatives
  • Proficiency in English required; additional languages are an asset
  • On-site presence required %
