Required Skills
- Minimum of 6 years' experience in pharmacovigilance operations, including hands-on signal detection and management
- Profound knowledge of ICH GCP, GVP guidelines, and local pharmacovigilance regulations
- Strong understanding of signal detection processes, statistical methodologies, and safety database applications
- Excellent organizational, project management, and leadership abilities
- Effective communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in an international, matrix environment and motivate cross-functional teams
- Experience with PV audits, inspections, and CAPA processes
- Proficiency in developing risk mitigation strategies and aggregate safety reports
Nice To Have Skills
- Familiarity with AI, large language models, and regulations concerning AI in healthcare
- Experience integrating AI solutions into pharmacovigilance processes
- Knowledge of MedDRA queries and technical signal analysis tools
- Skills in developing and customizing signal management software
- Knowledge of regulatory updates and industry best practices in signal management
Preferred Education And Experience
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, Nursing, MD, PharmD, PhD, or related medical/scientific degree
- Prior leadership roles in global pharmacovigilance teams or signal management functions
- Experience working within or alongside pharmaceutical industry partnering agreements
Other Requirements
- Fluency in English; additional languages advantageous
- Willingness to engage with external working groups and represent the company at industry events
- Ability to adapt to hybrid work arrangements in Basel, Switzerland
- Willingness to travel as needed for audits, inspections, or stakeholder meetings
