This role sits within ABB's Robotics business, a leading global robotics company. We're entering an exciting new chapter as we've announced the plan for SoftBank Group to acquire ABB Robotics. In this senior leadership role, you will join the new Corporate Controlling team in ABB Robotics and be responsible for the financial consolidation and reporting of ABB Robotics. Your mission is to ensure complete and accurate financial reporting, efficient consolidation processes, and robust governance to support transparent communication with the parent company.

Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, you will lead the consolidation and reporting teams, oversee the implementation of a new company-level consolidation and management information system, and act as a key business partner to senior finance and business leaders.

Your responsibilities:

• Leadership & Governance – Lead the consolidation and financial reporting teams, ensuring integrated, efficient, and accurate operations. Maintain strong governance and quality control over external financial disclosures and interactions with external auditors.

• Financial Reporting & Compliance – Oversee the preparation of annual financial statements and periodic reporting to the parent company, ensuring compliance with GAAP, regulatory standards, and ABB's internal policies.

• Process Optimization & Automation – Design and maintain the company's financial reporting framework, driving continuous improvement, automation, and streamlined data flows across reporting and consolidation processes.

• System Implementation – Lead the financial reporting workstream of the new consolidation tool implementation (go-live January 2027), ensuring alignment with FP&A and other key functions for a coordinated, company-wide approach.

• Internal Controls & Stakeholder Collaboration – Develop and maintain a strong internal control framework for consolidation and reporting; act as a trusted expert and advisor to senior leaders on accounting and reporting matters.

Your background:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA qualification required, with strong interest in IT and accounting systems.

• 10+ years of post-qualification experience in financial reporting, internal controls, or Big 4 auditing, including at least 3 years in a multinational corporate environment.

• Proven track record in external financial reporting and consolidation within complex, global organizations; industrial sector and ABB experience are strong advantages.

• Deep knowledge of accounting and reporting standards (GAAP, IFRS) with ability to interpret, challenge, and communicate complex issues clearly.

• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills; ability to influence senior management and collaborate across functions and geographies.

• Fluent in English; additional languages and knowledge of Certent Disclosure Management are strong assets.
