Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of functional and non-functional requirements (availability, security, performance) as well as the creation of concepts and effort estimations.

  • Analyze and solve complex problems in collaboration with stakeholders and partners from different domains.

  • Work closely with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to align activities and deliver results.

  • Ensure the operation, bug fixing, and maintenance of applications in the diagnostics and analytics domain.

  • Actively contribute to the agile development (SAFe) of new features and test them together with end users.

  • Design and further develop the software architecture for applications in the diagnostics and analytics area.

  • Contribute to technology decisions and help shape the ongoing evolution of our technology landscape.

  • Actively support the continuous improvement of our DevOps environment.

  • Create and maintain interface specifications.

Job requirements

Required Technical & Professional Expertise

  • Strong expertise in Java and good knowledge of Angular.

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in software engineering.

  • Solid knowledge of Python.

  • Experience in operating cloud applications, DevOps practices, CI/CD tools, and monitoring.

  • Strong experience writing automated tests (preferably TDD) using JUnit, Jasmine, Karma, or Protractor.

  • Analytical and conceptual mindset with strong problem-solving and abstraction skills.

  • Independent, pragmatic, and responsible way of working with strong coordination skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, team spirit, and customer orientation with quick comprehension.

  • Experience with SAP (EAM) or the willingness to acquire it.

  • Practical experience with agile methodologies, ideally SAFe.

  • Very good English and German skills.

  • High willingness to learn and enthusiasm for new technologies.

  • Ideally: experience working with sensor data, IoT, Big Data or Machine Learning, including data processing and visualization.

  • Knowledge of relational databases (preferably Snowflake).

  • Experience with ESTA Cloud technologies such as Jenkins, AWS, OpenShift, and monitoring tools (Splunk, APM Instana).
