CUTISS AG is a biotech spin-off company of the University of Zurich (UZH) that was awarded the winner of the Top100 Startups 2020 and focuses on the development of personalized bioengineered skin graft products for the treatment of skin defects. Its lead product denovoSkin has successfully completed Phase I and II for the treatment of burns and reconstructive surgeries. Clinical Phase III studies are underway in Europe and Switzerland.

CUTISS AG aims at designing an intelligent, automated platform to accelerate the manufacturing of its bioengineered skin product. Therefore, we are seeking a highly dedicated

GMP Manufacturing Associate (f/m/d) 100%

who can support the development of next-generation skin grafts and start
as soon as possible, or as agreed
.

Your main duties

  • Production of autologous skin substitutes for phase III clinical trials according to SOPs and GMP guidelines in the cleanroom facilities.
  • Support of the production team in the validation of analytical methods, production processes and equipment qualifications.
  • Participating in the further development of the product and the production processes.
  • Involvement in the generation and review of the GMP documentation, and laboratory management.

Your background

You hold a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in a biological field (e.g. biology, tissue engineering, biotechnologies, and biomedicine) or an apprenticeship as a Lab Technician. Practical experience (1+ years) working with mammalian cell cultures is a must, and strong aseptic working skills are particularly advantageous. Ideally, you also have some experience in a GMP environment.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Solid practical background in Mammalian Cell Culture
  • Knowledge of GMP regulations is highly desired
  • Attention to detail, with strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Great sense of quality and responsibility
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Self-reliant in determining priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and team-oriented attitude
  • Proficient in English, German is nice to have and any other languages are considered a plus

Special remarks

This position requires occasional weekend on-call duties. Also, as we work with human cells, we ask our employees to be vaccinated against Hepatitis B or be willing to do so (vaccination costs will be absorbed by CUTISS) to protect them from potential infections.
