Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development.
  • 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
  • 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
  • 2 years of experience working with Content Management System (CMS) ecosystems including participation in the core development of a CMS, or 2 years of experience in developing, managing, and troubleshooting websites on a CMS platform.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 8 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
  • 3 years of experience working in a structured organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
  • Experience with Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the engineering leader of the SiteKit product, collaborating with extended workforce engineers and cross-functional partners to develop the future of SiteKit.
  • Act as a technical bridge between sitekit (SK) team and Google engineering realm.
  • Follow AI trends and innovate SiteKit accordingly, offering site owners the best opportunities to monitor performance and advance.
  • Understand the dynamics of the Web Ecosystem, the needs of small creators, the opportunities of CMSes, and the possibilities through WordPress and other platforms.
  • Collaborate with representatives of product areas (PAs) inside Search, Ads, etc., to align the product with the needs of Google and the Web Ecosystem.
