Our Sales team is looking for a new talent, starting at the earliest possible time as Account Manager Genomic Services.

*How You Will Add Value*
As an Account Manager Genomic Services (m/f/d), you'll take ownership of building and nurturing client relationships across Switzerland, diving into new customer acquisition with a sharp focus on Gene synthesis and Synthetic Biology. You're the type who relishes the chase—spotting opportunities, presenting bold ideas, and turning conversations with scientists into lasting partnerships that drive revenue and growth. You love the independence of charting your own path in a role that's often solo, fueled by your inner drive to push boundaries, embrace risks, and create something fresh in a market ripe for innovation. While you thrive on self-reliance, you also value those key connections: quarterly guidance from your manager and daily exchanges with a colleague in Switzerland to sharpen your strategies and celebrate wins.

*What You Will Do*

  • Achieve annual sales goals within defined accounts through the development, maintenance, and enhancement of customer relationships. Accounts may include Pharmaceutical Companies, Biotech Companies, Research Institutions and Academic Accounts within a designated region or territory.
  • Drive growth by developing and successfully executing account management strategies, with a focus on new customer acquisition for Gene Synthesis.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on creating a marketing plan, registering/planning/attending local vendor shows, creating and executing on campaigns.
  • Work cross-functionally with a Swiss-based colleague for daily sparring and quarterly coaching with your manager, ensuring effective collaboration to deliver on client needs.

*What You Will Bring*

  • University Degree required (Biology or Life Sciences essential), with a preference for a background in natural sciences.
  • 3+years' experience in relevant commercial role, particularly in Gene synthesis, or Synthetic Biology with a proven track record of exceeding targets and driving revenue growth.
  • The confidence to connect with scientists on their level, diving into technical discussions about their projects with genuine curiosity and insight.
  • A natural enthusiasm for taking initiative, seeking out adventures in uncharted territory, and thriving on variety—whether it's hitting the road for client visits or strategizing future growth from your home base.
  • The motivation that comes from within pushing you to excel through challenges, build strong, enduring bonds with clients, and focus on long-term success without needing constant direction.
  • Exceptional self-organization and a love for autonomy, allowing you to manage your time effectively in a fast-paced, independent environment with up to 50% travel.
  • Must have valid driver's license and fluency in English (German is a plus but not essential).

Working Conditions/ Schedule

  • Home office based.
  • Willing and able to travel overnight as required (up to 50% of time depending on territory).
