About the Role
: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the full cycle of financial accounting for the Limestone Group Swiss entities. The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy and compliance of all financial records, manage daily transactional processing, execute month-end closing procedures, and actively support internal and external reporting requirements. Position based in Zug, Switzerland.

Key Responsibilities
:

Daily accounting & Operations
:

  • Manage the end-to-end processing of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable (AR), including accurate and timely booking of all incoming and outgoing invoices.
  • Process and manage all payment runs and banking transactions.
  • Perform daily and monthly bank and general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Manage employee expense reports.
  • Monitor and manage the company's liquidity (cash flow).

Month-end and Reporting
:

  • Execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing process in compliance with Swiss Code of Obligations.
  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries, including accruals.
  • Conduct intercompany reconciliation with group entities and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare and submit VAT statements and other required local tax filings accurately and on time.

Compliance & Audit
:

  • Ensure all accounting practices and records adhere to the Swiss Code of Obligations and local regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a key contact for external auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Maintain and improve internal accounting control systems and documentation.

Process improvement
:

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assist in the testing and implementation of new financial systems or process automation tools.

Other
:

  • Participate in other ad-hoc tasks and projects as may be required.

Qualifications
:

  • Education: Commercial apprenticeship or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5-10 years of hands-on experience in a similar accounting role in Switzerland.
  • Swiss Accounting Knowledge: Knowledge of Swiss Code of Obligations and local VAT requirements is essential.

Required Skills
:

  • Technical Skills: Accounting system knowledge and experience; Excel - strong excel skills.
  • Languages: Excellent communication skills in English. German is a plus.
  • Personal Attributes: Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, ability to work independently, and a proactive, team-oriented attitude.
